Precious Hanna just a few days new came to see me. She is such a beauty! She had the sweetest older brother who did awesome with his photos with her. You could just see how proud he was to be her big brother. He was so concerned about her and would keep checking in on her throughout her session. Here are a few of my favorites from her session. Enjoy!
I recently did this adoption lifestyle session. It was so fun! When Evie contacted me about doing these photos I knew immediately that it was something that I wanted to do! They wanted some photos of their precious girl at home with them (finally)! She also mentioned how important it was to get these pictures of her since it was the last week before she had her lip surgery. There is no question that this beautiful girl is SO very loved! I asked Evie to share a little bit with me about their adoption process and this is what she sent me (with permission to share, of course). I hope you enjoy it! "God spoke to my heart and I knew we had a daughter in China. The waiting, almost two years, was long and slow and painful. Some days I dreamed of a bright future and other days I wept the unknown that my child might be experiencing. I learned to lean hard on Christ and he gave me strength for the next day. The day I received a call that our agency had a match for us was blissful. My husband and I knew she was ours. She was 9 months old and had the loveliest smile. Her eyes shined bright. She was ours and we were her forever family. We traveled to China in November of 2015 with our two boys to bring her home. The first time she was put in my arms, I breathed deeply with the realization she had filled the missing piece to my heart. She made her father's eyes glisten with joy. Her brothers gained a long awaited sister and she gained a set of brothers who will forever be her allies. Her Chinese name means lucky or blessed. But I know the truth: we are the lucky ones."
I'm trying to start out the year by blogging (at least a little bit). Jacob is such a precious boy! I'm so lucky to be friends with his parents so I get to see him quite a bit. He has the sweetest little spirit. I have loved photographing him throughout his first year. Here are a few of my favorites from his cake smash session. Enjoy!
Here is a peek back at his newborn session.

2015 was such a great year for CLP. It started out a bit slow because our family grew through the blessing of adoption. We welcomed our then 2.5 year old son home from South Korea in January of 2015. 2015 was huge year of growth for me personally and professionally. It was a struggle learning the balance between being a mom while running my business...well who am I kidding, I'm still learning. It meant a lot of late nights editing, returning emails, etc. I will be changing a few things for 2016 and all will be to provide the best services possible for my amazing clients. I have many goals for this year that I am just so excited to work towards. One of those being continued education. I love learning and look forward to attending a few workshop/mentoring sessions this year.
Thanks so much for supporting me this past year. Clients, family, friends, and fans...you all have been a blessing to me and this precious business I have the privilege of running. Every single like, comment, encouraging email, text, etc. truly means so much to me! To every family I have had the privilege of capturing an important milestone in 2015, Thank You! I am blessed to have been a tiny part of your lives. Wishing you all a happy 2016!
